Our team brings together a wide range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineers, all of whom are qualified to degree or Masters standard. They are backed up by dedicated support staff who make sure the operational side of the business runs smoothly.
The team is led by our two founding partners, Andrew Parr and Adrian Smith.
Andrew Parr
Andrew’s academic background includes an Honours degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering. Early experience was gained in earthworks, bridge foundations and road pavement while working for a governmental organisation. He then joined a consultancy specializing in the investigation of foundation and slope failures and groundwater problems. A period as Technical Director of an established ground investigation contractor offered a wide variety of challenges, with projects in all sectors of the industry, both large and small.
Having by now accumulated some 25 years experience in government, consulting and contracting
organizations, AP Geotechnics was established in 1995 to provide a professional service in all
aspects of geo - environmental engineering at a competitive price.
Adrian Smith
With a degree in Geology and a Masters in Engineering Geology, Adrian has more than 20 years experience in the implementation and management of geotechnical & geo-environmental investigations. He has managed a large number of commercial and residential developments & civil engineering projects within the UK.
Adrian has significant experience in the investigation and remediation of contaminated land and is
well versed in providing viable solutions for both geotechnical and environmental issues, either
before or during construction.
